I don't think that it would affect the teeth that way.  My son chewed tablets before now and the residue is far more likely to remain between the teeth than syrup. I would say though that since an excess is related to calcium loss, that you may need to bring that up with your daughters pediatrician.  Does your Daughter drink milk or have dairy foods.  My son hates them so I have started to give him calcium tablets now with his evening meal.  I dont give them with his medication as I felt that they would not be absorbed too well at these times and be better with his meal.  Let me know how you go.  My sons teeth are not chipping or damaged but he has had a great growth spurt the last year and his baby teeth all fell out and have been replaced by the permanent ones and as his jaw is only small, they are now overcrowding.  I am interested in the dental side of things as you can't find a lot of information on that in CAH.
