I just called Roberta's work # at the Pentagon. Her outgoing voice mail states "I will be on maternity leave from July 30 to November". Hopefully, we'll hear from her soon. I'm sure she's just devasted by the news and possibly lost friends/co-workers. My brother is at the Pentagon often for business...but NOT yesterday...although one of his co-workers saw the plane crash into the building. My husband has two cousins at the WTC...they're both fine...one was just coming out of the subway at the WTC when the first plane hit. It was a scary, horrible day. We leave between Baltimore & Washington, DC. Dave (My husband) works for the federal government and they were told to "get the hell out". I was working at my girls' elementary school where it was complete pandemonium with scared parents coming to get their kids. We're one of the few schools who are open today....although my husband is staying home... except for finding a place to give blood! My thoughts are with all you others out there living through this horror.
