I know it is common for children with CAH to ahve surgery but I am so scared to death that everyone won't know just how serious this is and that something will go wrong.I talked to our endo a little while ago and he said that Caleb will get a salu-cortef I.V. during surgery and he will be just fine.

I just think that the fact that he is going to be under anesthesia scares me. My husband told the doctor that he wants to be the parent that is there with him until he goes to sleep and that also makes me sad. I know that I shouldn't feel like that but I am the one who gets up during the night when he is sick and I clean up the yuck and gets him ready for school and HE gets to go in and be with him.  Yeah there are bigger things to worry about.

So if any of your CAH children have had surgery please let me know about it. Even without CAH this would be scary but this just makes it that much worse.
