Jennifer,

My husband and I have three children together. Our oldest is a daughter who does not have CAH and our second is a son,he has swcah.

When we got pregnant for our third child I worried the enitre time that he would also have CAH .He was born and they did a test on his cord blood and it came back negative. I too worried for a long time that the test had come back wrong and that he was going to get sick.

We almost lost Caleb when before he was diagnosed at 5 weeks of age (the doctors told us if we would have brought him home and not taken him to the emergency room he would have died in his sleep that night) so I was very worried.

So now we are going to have our 4th child together and I am not one bit worried. If this baby has CAH we know how to deal with it and there are alot worse things that could be wrong. In our family we see this as a blessing and believe it or not one day I bet you will too.

If our children can't be healthy at least they have a disorder where they can live normal happy lives. I have seen so much worse since we have had Caleb and thank God for sparing us the heartache of all the other things there are out there while we pray for the children who were not at fortunate as ours.

It all seems so tough in the beginning but it really does get easier as time goes on.So hang on it does get better. :-)
