Julie HJust seems to me the commonsensical thing to do (double dose) because I think that the normal bio feedback would do that. I'd be really interested as to what the rationale is around leaving the missed dose is and just taking the next dose. Somehow I don't think that the pituitary gland would say "Mmm missed dose huh, nevermind, I'll just tell the adrenal glands to release the normal amount and that will fix that!" Yeh sure!!!!
It amazes me sometimes how we are told to do these things and it may have been derived from just normal steroid use and not tailored around "our" kids needs which are totally different. I've always been compelled to double dose, even before I could understand the whole bio feedback thing, because as it is something that has been set as necessary (that being what our child would normally produce) that seems like a good enough reason to compensate. Especially now that I DO understand the normal bio feedback process.
