Question concerning your son's medication, are you giving the Cortef twice a day or every 3 hours? I know there are some kids out there who are well controlled with twice-a-day dosing. However, there are plenty of kids who need the every eight hour dosing for good control. I have also heard of kids who need to go to 4-times-a-day dosing in order to get good control. (Sorry, I don't know how they timed the doses) I have heard that some doctors believe that if the body does have cortef, then it will try to make its own cortisol. If this is happening daily to your son, then the excess bone-age could be attributed to this.
