My daughter is tested every 3 months unless we change her dosages and then it's in 6 weeks. The results are sent to our ped endo and she calls us with results. We DO drive almost 3 hours to the nearest ped endo and I firmly believe it's worth every hour to have my daughter seeing a doctor who is fully qualified to judge her levels. We have her blood drawn locally and always sent to the same lab so tests units are consistent (endrocrine sciences). This way if she needs to be tested in 6 weeks we do not have to drive 3 hours! Before we found this ped endo, the only one in Nevada, we're in California near the border, we drove 7 hours to San Diego where we could stay with family!! Yes, it is long but I believe necessary and we try to make it a fun family (LONG) day!. The ped endo always runs 17 ohp, renin, androstinedione and testosterone. I hope your son's levels get under control quickly and that you find a ped endo for him soon! Good luck.Julia S
