My son is only 11 weeks old but when my doctors explained the disorder to me they told my husband and I that he would be able to play sports and do all the normal things that children do.  They told me that I would have to give stress doses of his Prelone when he ran a fever of 101 or more, for broken bones, ear infections and things like this.  They told me that we would not have to triple the dose for things such as the common cold.  Of course the more I read the more I become unsure and nervous about these times that he may become sick.  But this is how my sons doctors have explained it to me.
