Hi Doug,  I have 4 kids and 2 of them have CAH salt wasting type.  The two that have CAH are 20 and 16.  We have NEVER had to increase meds except when they were hurt bad enough like a broken bone or had a fever of 100 degrees F or more.  They have been "normal" kids otherwise.  They have and do play sports and many other activities.  I hope this helps.  Feel free to contact us.    ~ Tammy
