Julie HWas it Sandra who said the other day that we have to learn to not beleive everything that we are told by some doctors. Here we have one parents doctor telling him to limit stress of all types and then a stark contrast with Janets doctor. Who do we believe here when we can now do searches and read many abstracts on stress related to cortisol. People would not be writing these things if they were not true. We have to accept Janet that some doctors are just late in coming to these beliefs and that even if they did have concrete proof would they tell you.
I believe that all parents should know about these things because as you all well know our children go through periods where they don't even have enough cortisol to meet "normal" stresses let alone mount a sufficient response to extra demands. Is it so hard to embrace that concept. No one is going to be thankful if they don't know the truth and their child collapses and dies because of the above scenario.
