Jill HWe got to the hospital at 6:15 Thursday just as requested. I was nervous and Caleb was just plain tired.
The whole family Dad and me and his youngest sister and brother and our pastor went to the small room to get him ready for the surgery. The showed him Bert and Ernie books about surgery and gave him a small mask to practice breathing with. He acted silly when everyone talked to him but he was really nervous.
After an hour that seemed like 10 minutes they brought out a little red wagon and wheeled him to the surgery room with Dad following so he could be with him until he went to sleep.
After an hour the doctor came out and told us he did great and told us what we needed to do for the next couple of days.
I went back to recovery with him and waited for him to wake up and once he did he was pretty groggy for the first 45 minutes but after that we couldn't keep that boy down.
He didn't want to lay on the sofa and rest as they told him to and was angry that he couldn't go with his sisters to the schools rollerskating party that night.
He says it never hurts and only took Motrin the first night because I made him.
I say everyones prayers healed this child right up! And I want to thank everyone for thinking of us that day and for helping me with all of your responces to my first post.
He's doing great and has no clue what resting is about. I only wish that I could have some of that energy.
Thanks again!
