ValerieHi Roberta,
Thank you so much for responding. Very informational. My son just had his ped endo appointment today and we questioned the doctor about blood draws vs. 24 hr urine tests. Our doctors are indeed USA trained and we go to one of the greatest teaching hospitals in the country (so we have been told ) and yet they feel that the urine test allows for better testing with more accurate results. We do do blood draws but usually when we are looking for something specific. Thankfully, my son has always been extremely well controlled with all the "right numbers" and a bone age that matches his chronological age each and every time. Therefore we are also very optimistic for great adult height potential. I know after reading so many posts on the board, not everyone has been so lucky and have had a much more difficult getting their kids under control and on the proper dosages etc. Thanks for letting me know yours and your doctors stance on this subject. It just once again shows that whatever information all of think is correct may one day be all wrong. I thank God every day that he is so well managed. Thanks again!
