Do ya think you could e mail my son's doctor and tell him all that?  He seems to think these things can be done willy nilly---and I'd like urine's done occasionally ON TOP OF bloods, but he won't do it---says it is archaic.

What does he know.  When my on was diagnosed they were putting corticosteroids in at one end and checking the other end for results AND doing bloods---so why the change now?  Kids still need dosage changes and both lots of tests to finely tune the doses.  Anyway that is my winge for the day :-)

Wish more people would think this way.  I posted below to ask people what tests they have and received no response so I am assuming that most parents do what I used to do and what Valerie said recently.  They take their doctors word for it and assume that "all" the relevant tests are being done to assess doses and levels and simply don't know what the tests are in more depth that are being done on their kids.
