What is the age of your daughter? 

Unfortunately, many of the sexual issues that arise do not make themselves known until the child is a sexually active adult. 

Kaye, you said that you consulted women who had these surgeries and were happy with the results.  Did they have the surgery as an informed adult or as a child?  If they are truly happy with the results from childhood surgery, is it possible to urge them to post with their experiences?  The unfortunately fact is that while we hear about women happy with the results, never has one come forward publicly to say that.  If they are not comfortable posting, would be you so kind as to pass on my email and ask them to write me?  If they are out there, it is vital that they make themselves known. Unfortunately, 10 years of activism on this issue has not turned up a single one.
