As a parent of a child with multiple medical conditions I know making dicisions regarding a childs long term health are not easy.  All a parent can do is gather all the information possible, evaluate it, agonise for days, weeks or months about it hearing pros and cons and then  make an informed dicision.  Whatever that decision is whether you agree with it or not is not your decision.  Whatever the decision happens to be is also not wrong.  In Kaye's situation from her polite responses this process is complete.  Deal with it. She and her family are doing what they feel is best for their daughter. We all know CAH girls do not fit into the same pigeon hole and each family can have wildly different circumstances and degrees of severity for the condition.  Parents make these decisions for their kids in good faith and needs to be supported once the decision has been made. 

Throughout life we all have to make judgement calls that affect us individually, our children or the family as a group.  I know I trust my own and Kaye obviously trusts hers  too.  Am I aways right.....NO but that is life, just  a whole bunch of decisions with visible but  mostly  invisible consequences that can be messy.  What if questions later are a waste of time because it is impossible to recreate all the conditions,pressures,stresses and information sources to analyse it. 

 No one is wrong here. There is only one certainty and that is we are all different and therefore will never always agree. Second guessing someone elses decision on the surface in fresh air is easier than fighting for breath under the surface dodging sharks when you do it yourself for real.  We all do the best we can for our kids without malise or ill will. 

I truely hope to see Kaye's and parents in her situation on the board asking questions in the future.  Someone needs to start a web page where information on this subject can be posted.  Parents can then access it and we can then respect whatever decision is made and offer support and not a bunch of judgements that scare the very parents you are trying to influence away. 

I am getting way to spacey here so will quit while I am behind and hope it makes some kind of sense to whoever decides to read this far!!!!  1am on a weekday, I must be crazy...........a certainty!TC everyone but especially Kaye and family.
