SandraThanks for the information and thanks for "reposting" that message. It is amazing to me how much information there it. I always have to reread it a few times for it to sink in and for me to really understand it.
I am still wondering if anyone knows how accurate these PRA's really are and how I can go about making them more accurate? Maybe making sure they are taking at a certain time of day or noting how the patient is positioned while taking the blood. Am I going overboard trying to get the PRA to be accurate?
Anyway, I am so new at this that I'm still not sure what I should and what I should not worry about. I know that not everything is under my control and that I have to trust the doctor to a point but I am having a really hard time doing this. As I mentioned in my previous post, I am very concerned about how two doctors came up with different recommendations based on the same lab results!
My son is about 3 1/2 months old now and, knock on wood, has not been sick yet. I am dreading his first illness because I don't know what to expect. I try to control everything about this "CAH". I know that it is a control problem with me but since this is so unbelievable to me at times, I try to deal with it by submerging myself into everything I can learn about CAH. Okay, I'll stop rambling now! Gotta get my 3 yr old off to school. By the way my two older boys tested normal on the ACTH test.
Thanks for everyone's help.
