Julie HMy ten year old son was diagnosed with asthma last year and has both types of inhalers to treat such. So he takes steroids with the respocort inhaler on top of his usual daily doses of cortisol.
I wondered if anyone else's children have athsma and if they have any problems when their children need to take the extra medication. At this time of year my son usually needs the respocort inhaler more frequently than usual and I always wonder if this on top of the other steroids he takes may affect his blood tests results? At certain parts of the year, he can actually get away with "no inhaler's" at all and I also wondered if this is because he is on steroids orally anyway?

PS Someone posted here some time ago that their child has suspension made by the pharmacist that lasted a month as opposed to a week. I am sorry I am not sure which thread we were in now but if you could post again I would be most grateful. I'd need to know what the preservative (if any) ingredient is that extends the life of your syrup that much longer. Thanks
