LaurelHi Julie,
I think I was the one to post about the suspension that lasted for one month. My daughter has been on the liquid hydrocortisone compounded by our local phamacy for over a year and has been doing great on it. I just called our pharmacy and asked them what exactly was in it that would make it last for a month (30 days) rather than just a month like so many others I have heard about. The pharmacist says they just crush up the hydrocortisone tablets and put it in a suspending agent (ora-plus??) and just mix in some sweetener and other stuff, no preservative. It does have to be refridgerated which is kind of pain when we travel but I just put it in a portable lunch cooler and an ice pack and we are good to go. I am sorry I couldn't be of much help. If you have any more questions you can e-mail me and I can maybe get the recipe from the pharmacist or my daughter's endo (we will see him on Monday).
