I haven't visited the message board in a long time, but after reading your posting I felt I had to respond. I have a 5yr old daughter (salt wasting) who had surgery at 1yr and 1.5yrs. I believed it was the "right" thing to do and I am very happy with my decision. She is a healthy happy little girl who will have one less thing to worry about when she reaches puberty. I won't say that my decision was the right one for everyone, but what all of the parents have to realize is we all make decisions for our children that WE believe are the best ones for our children. Not everyone will make the same decisions as we are all different - if we weren't the world would be a boring place.
