    How are you ? I hope that you will still keep posting . I'm 31 years old and I have classical adrenal hyperplasia. I've learned alot from this message board.

   Like your daughter, I was born with more than an enlarged clitoris. I had something that didn't look like a clitoris or a penis but something I like to call a wanna be penis. It was about the size of my adult pinky and like your daughter I voided out of it. I have no male testes or chromosomes. Having CAH isn't easy but most of the time it isn't even a factor in my life. Sometimes, it does play havoc in my life....it drives me crazy, makes me insecure about my identity and I get very angery about just being born with it but I'm learning how to deal with that also. For the most part, I'm the girl in the middle of the dance floor in the arms of a sweet Navel Officer. 

  My parents would not of bothered with surgery if  I had been born with an enlarged clitoris. I was able to read my medical records and they stated that I was up for surgery consideration at age 3 1/2 but the psych department finding concluded that I could wait a few years. At 5 years old I had my surgery and then I had another one at 21. Never had dialation like the other women did. I'm not for or against surgery. What concerns me most and I relate this to my own life experience is that if the surgeon can't garentee 100 % success don't touch anyone.

  It's wonderful that you have been able to make an informed decision about your daughter's surgery hopefully your daughter will agree with it or at the very least come to terms with it. None of this is easy and I wish you and your daughter the very best.
