Hi, I am one who does now have osteoporosis due to steroids and CAH. I had a bone density test done last summer and in the last 2 years I have lost 7% in my hip. My endo is very concerned and said he considers me osteoporotic. I have started taking Fosamax once a week to rebuild bone (I guess the stuff is a wonder drug from what he says). He says I should take it indefinitely. So the threat is VERY real to us with CAH. I take Dexamethasone and have for 23 years. I'm 42 yrs old and very healthy in other ways.
