Julie HRachel,
I can assure you that all the people commenting on the board about "all" aspects of surgery is probably nothing that Kaye hasn't read before. She has seen it all no doubt in investigating what she needs to "before"she makes her decision. In fact the adult message board that we discuss here has been frequented by Kaye herself. Need I say more!
Antagonise "defined" :
opponent, adversary, are some of the words described here in my dictionary for this word. Isn't that what Kaye has been wrestling with all along? Weighing up what she should do? I never "assumed that Kaye hadn't done her homework. However, for me to sit here and let people discuss surgery one sidedly would have been very misleading for parent's that know absolutely "nothing." There are little girls born frequently with CAH. Parent's coming to the board without any idea and wanting feedback.
See that post about Calcium and Potassium there. Where the hang would half of us be without Potassium? We give our kids Sodium everyday but don't realise the importance of "negative feedback."
In life there is a balance everywhere. Why does it rain? Why does the earth turn? Asking ourselves questions and analyzing "every" aspect of something is not wrong.
If any of you "feel" better making me or others opposed to surgery out to be antagonistic, then that is your choice here.
I don't "want" to make the decision for Kaye any harder. It is hard. We are not discussing that fact at all here. We are analyzing all aspects of a given topic so that we can help all parents in general. If Kaye has made the decision to go ahead, then I do not flatter myself to think I could change HER CHOICE. Neither do I think I know any more. On the contrary: I assume she has examined all these aspects to make a decision. :-)
I will not apologise for being a free independant thinking person with a different opinion. My posts where for "many" to read. Not just one person.
