Hello,

I was out of town on business and I'm able to access my e-mail much easier than the message board

Surgery was a no win situation that I had to have. In order to have my period, surgery needed to be done. There was no vaginal opening at all. Imagine your adult pinky, that's what I voided through.  I like the idea of the surgery being for children that are five years and older. The child should have some voice in this. For some reason as a child I realized that little girl puppies were smooth and little boy puppies were not. Since I was a girl, I should be smooth also. In families things just happen, little kids barge into the bathroom while their brother or sister is using it. Kids kind of get an idea of what they have and what everyone else has under their clothes. When I was in elementary school or even with the neighborhood kids, everyone to part in seeing how the boys differed from the girls. The neighborhood boys took great delight in peeing their names in the snow. It was these experiences that made me come to the conclusion that what I had shoudn't be there.  I felt ok about what I was born with, I just knew it just wasn't quite right for me.

I hope this helps,

Aimee
