AimeeCarol:
Thank you for your post and the sweet words. I wanted to explain the clitorectomy a little better. I needed to get a more specific so you can get a better understanding. When I wrote about plumbing, I meant the whole thing inside and out. It was 1975 and I had severe virilization. The surgeons did there best to form what I was born with into a clitoris but it didn't work so they removed what was there. They would of liked to have done a clitorectomy. Also, what represented a vagina was underneath where they thought that could form a clitoris. In my medical records which I received May 2001, the surgeons notes stated how they tried over and over with great effort to do the best for me.
When I had the surgery in 1991, the surgeon was able to lower the spot from which I voided from and created a vagina that was large enough for sexual intercourse.
I hope this explains it better.
Sincerely,
Aimee
