AdinaHHi Sandra,
Thanks for responding to my post. I must admit I feel so new to all of this that I'm not quite sure what some of your terms meant. Please forgive my ignorance. I'm trying to learn as fast as I can. : )
First of all, what is the difference between genotype and phenotype? What do they mean? What is SV, "salt virilizing"?
You mentioned you were in Houston and travelling to NY, do they have better doctors there? I am in Phoenix and want to know where the doctors are that are really good at CAH. My pediatrician has only seen two other cases and they were in NY and in his residency. My OB/GYN has never seen any. Our endocrinologist claims to have seen several, but won't give us a number. Makes me kind of scared. We were originally planning a move to Dallas but have heard the doctors there are much worse at this sort of thing. Is that what you've heard too?
I know what you mean in your quest for "being normal". All of our friends and my husband's coworkers (about 5 or 6 couples) are all having perfectly healthy normal babies right now and it makes me want to scream. I keep asking "why us"? and "why both of our kids?" Thanks for listening, your shoulder, and your support.
