Adina, It sounds to me like both of your children might be simple-virilizers. I think SV's often get lumped together with SW's because they are both examples of Classical CAH and have similar 17-OHP numbers. (Like Sandra's son, for example.) A girl with SV CAH may have some genital ambiguity like your daughter, while boys may not have any obvious symptoms until they present with signs of precocious puberty and rapid growth, like your son. Sandra is right that genotype sometimes doesn't correlate to phenotype, but, to me, both your children seem to present with a SV phenotype. It doesn't sound like either of them had an ACTH, right? If you did further testing on them, I wouldn't be surprised if you found out that their genotypes are actually similar, as well.Carol
