May be changing over to Predisome(sp?) from Cortef have questions...help!

Since we cannot get my daughter's levels under control, her endo. decided that if the next blood test shows no control once again, that we will switch her to pred. I suppose first I need to learn how to spell the darn med.! I know that it is taken only twice a day (lasting 12 hours in the body) which  with my daughter approaching school, this would be convienient. Anyone that already switched to this drug from Cortef, can you tell me how long did it take to get your child' levels back on target after they started this? The endo. suggested the liquid form. She does so well with chewing her pills, I hate to go backwards. I know there are pills, but I think that was the problem with the Cortef, I could never split the pill without loosing a gram or so. I made sure she got even what broke off, but to quarter a pill is so hard. And if I choose to give her the pill form, I am afraid she will hate the taste of the pred. and we will be back to square one with the crushing it in my orange stuff recipe I made after the Cortef suspension was recalled a couple of years ago. So if anyone can give me some insight about pred. I would appreciate it. We will know her results in 2 weeks, then we will decide. Thanks!
