My daughter takes prednisone- 2.5 mg twice a day.  We chose to go with the pill form and have no problems.  I put the 1/2 of pill tucked inside of a mini marshmellow and she takes it right down.  We didn't try the liquid form because we were told it had such a bad taste it was hard to disguise.
