AndrewHi Toni
At a recent conference in the U.K., an endocrinologist spoke about the problems of managing CAH in adults. There are fewer markers for glucocorticoid excess or deficit, and "bone density is usually relatively normal". There isn't a deluge of cases of osteoporosis. One would have to note the equivocal nature of "usually relatively", and all the qualifications that normally apply, do so here: CAH population still not reaching old age, small pools of expertise leading to difficulties in gathering data, small numbers of affected people etc.
Has any study been done positively linking CAH with Osteoporosis?
