Im 15 weeks preganant and has been on dex since 6-7 weeks. Had my amnio 3 days ago and its a girl. I have to continue taking the dex till we find out till baby is affected. it will take 4 weeks and they will said the dna of my husband and I and check the babys sample. The problem is my husband came back negative as a carrier the first test and they will try to check for more mutations next time. If they cannot find  my husbands mutation and the baby carries mine I have to take the dex till the last day of my pregnancy. Is there any other test where they can check the amnio fluid for cah? and also why are some women taken off the dex a week before the amnio.? maybe my ob is missing something. I hope I dont need to have another amnio done or take the dex unnecessarily if its not needed.PLEASE help. Thanks ..
