Kaye, I, too, lost my milk when I threw my back out. It was my body's response to the pain. My daughter was old enough to know that she HATED formula and refused it and a bottle. Soooo frustrating to not be able to feed your hungry child. Do not give up!!! First, make sure you drink plenty of water and fenugreek helps but you need to take a lot. The next most important thing is to PUMP and then pump some more!! Feed your daughter first, then pump for ten more minutes. This is great if you have a dual pump. It sounds like you have a good pump I've never heard of it but as long as it works. Many pumps are made be formula companies and are hard to use and plain ole don't work. Any milk you actually express can be given in a bottle to your daughter. It only takes a few days to dramatically increase your milk supply. You can produce enough to feed your baby!!! Believe it! The vicious cycle of not having enough milk and feeding her formula actually reduces your supply! So until you get your supply up pump pump pump!! It won't take long, it is really the last thing you want to do or have time for, I know, but it is so beneficial to your baby! After I had a scare of losing my milk, once I got it back I'd pump right before I went to bed most nights for `10 minutes. Then you can freeze what's expressed and when you go for a bike ride or whatever there is some mommy's special milk for her! My daughter never would take formula so we had to do this but I'm glad it worked for us as she's very healthy. By the way, she is still nursing and almost 18 months! I hope to go to 2 years! (I quite pumping when she was one year. I figured if I dried up well at least she could drink cows milk!) Good luck and let me know how it's going! JuliaJulia S
