Great idea, Betsy!  I, also, think it's much more constructive to be proactive, rather than stirring up a rat's nest over something that no one on this board can do anything about anyway---whether they like the word; hate it; have come to accept it to describe themselves or others; or couldn't care less one way or the other.  If "intersex"---as a medical term to describe someone born with ambiguous genitalia, and not just those with CAH---seriously offends you, why not come up with a better term and petition the folks who might actually be able to do something about it?
