KimberlyHi Valerie,
I have been told by our Ped Endo that even with good control, my son still may lose an inch to an inch and a half of what could have been his expected height. She said that puberty can really play havick with control and therefore height. However, she also reminded me that genetics does have a lot of input. We are a pretty tall family, so I hope that will help in the long run.
Interestingly, since my CAH son is a twin, I watch the difference in growth between the two. They are 26 mths, and in my non-CAH son is in the 90th and my CAH son in the 75th percenticle in height . There has remained about a 1.25 inch difference since birth, my CAH son being the shorter of the two. So far, so good, but then again we have a while til we hit the dreaded puberty!
