Re: To Pebbles with clarification

I was using the quotes in my first posting to ask those who suggested that it was either useless or not important to try and change the usage of intersex with effected CAH girls to ~ stop and think for a minute.  These individuals are clearly against unecessary corrective surgery.  Many state that change in the medical community is of utmost importance, leading me to believe that they think doctors are wrong to perform this surgery. Well, if dotors are wrong in believing that surgery is the best option for a girl with simply ambigious genitailia, can't they too be wrong about labeling these girls intersexed?  If we can change doctors views on surgery, why not on not using intersexed to describe effected CAH girls?

As for my stand on the term intersexed I thought I was very clear:

I will therefore be part of the crusuade to eliminate the use of "intersexed" with CAH

I am NOT offended by the term intersexed, BUT over the incorrect usage of it.

Finally, as referring to your educational background???  You may want to re-read my postings, there was never any such reference made.
