It is true that the Cortef Oral Suspension brand of hydrocortisone suspension was recalled and removed from the market last year.  This was the only brand of hydrocortisone suspension supplied by a pharmaceutical company in the US.  However, some local pharmacies have a "recipe" to produce a hydrocortisone suspension from tablets.  This is why it is not completely accurate to say that all children have been put on the tablets.  There have been several posts previously on this site containing information about the pharmacy produced hydrocortisone suspension.  I hope this helps.
