All my breast fed babies had very loose bowel movements and several times a day.  I was told that it was because I had too much milk, but even when the initial engorgement had gone the bowel motions remained and they gained weight as normal so we did not worry.  My bottlefed babies seemed to be the ones that became constipated.  Sometimes it depends on the quantity and quantities of the hind and the fore milk. The hindmilk can sometimes constipate a baby and too much fore milk makes their bowels loose and watery.
