My 18 month old would NEVER go for the safety sleep. Not even when she was younger. She's quite the free spirit! She would have a fit. We bundle her up in cotton jammies and then a fleece one and turn on the radiant heater (appropriate for the season.) These are inexpensive and low cost to run. They are like a freestanding radiator filled with oil. The electricity heats the oil.
