is particularly good. At one time I resisted the use of the word Intersex with respect to myself because it is so emotionally loaded and misunderstood. Today I actually find it empowering to use it when I tell the uninformed about my own treatment experiences and my efforts to change the treatment of other females who have been virilized by CAH. The reactions I have received have been universally sympathetic and supportive.
