AimeeViewing other people talk about CAH and intersexed on talk shows is mortifing. We all have CAH to different degrees and some of us see intersexed as nothing more than a description for ambigious gentialia. I like the term pseudo- hermaprodite because it means that I'm not a hermaprodite nothing against them but I am not one. . I saw an episode of Sally Jesse Ralphel with the ISNA on it. One person said that they "represented" themselves as a male... not that they were a male...... that it was just a representation. These talk shows are nothing more than sensationalism.
It is not my wish to tell horror stories or make parents uncomfortable. I just wanted you know about this. So, if you run across a show you won't be sick to your stomach like I was. I was flipping through the channels when that show came on. Those people might represent some of us but they do not represent all of us. On the talk shows it is made to seem like they are a representation of us all and it's not true. Yes, people have problems because of CAH but to put it on talk shows now that is a horror story. Talk shows are giving people with CAH a false representation.
