I also agree with you Danny. When I read that specific paragraph I was thinking to myself "this lady doesn't have kids". I can't imagine my kids not using kid words in their everyday life. There are so many words they can't say "correctly" anyway so why make it more difficult for them. I had to chuckle! :) I can't imagine my three year old saying "excuse me mother, I need to urinate in the water closet." (LOL). Instead he would use the "child" version and say he has to go "potty" which is another cute :) child name for an object.
The rest of it was very interesting. Isn't it neat how all children are different. Kind of like snowflakes... no two alike.
