My neice (non - caher) just last month developed Bells Palsy. She is 4 years old and the doctor thinks she developed it due to a bad case of Lyme Disease. It has something to do with the inflamation and pressure on a certain cranial nerve (perhaps the 7th as you stated). They expect a complete recovery. I also have an accountant that had fallen asleep on a plane with his head plastered against the window. When he awoke he was partially paralyzed and was later diagnosed with Bells Palsy. He has taken a couple of years to recover but is doing nicely. My Cousin came down with it and they can come up with no direct correlation for it but she has made a complete recovery. The outlook is good, but I would make sure to remind the ped if you are to get her a flu shot. I read somewhere that it might not be a good idea if you have that and/or Guillian Barre Syndrome. Let us know how it goes.LynnT
