For what it's worth it sounds like your body was overproducing androgens. Now that you're on the dex that overproduction should start, and you should eventually see evidence of a return to a more normal hormonal level. Of course that very much a lay opinion, and I would have no idea how long it would take. Have you asked your doctor?
