My son is on dex, switched to cortef for a short while, and is now back on dex.  Yes, I think it makes treatment much easier, in the hands of the right doctor!  For quite a while, it seemed that I was the only one on this mb with a young child on dex.  Now, I know at least 4 others---3 with babies, and one around the same age as my son (he is 8).  I'll be happy to answer whatever questions you have.
