Perhaps no one has had the dose raises yet with tablets?

That is what happenend to us anyway. I felt that the dose raises should be little and often, not large and infrequent. If you find that you child is not needing a dose raise for over 6 months and certainly a 12 month period, then I would start asking questions because that is how things happened for us. I note that a great deal of people only moved to the tablets after the Upjohn recall. We were on them 7 years before we started to see a pattern of over suppression and immature bone age and then under suppression and advanced bone age. The increase and cut back of 2.50mg increments is very crude. I'm assuming that it will take several years before anyone decideds to do anthing about that where distribution and dosing cah kids with HCT is concerned. In the meantime if there are any kids on suspension, (HCT not dex) I'd be greatful. To Carol, I note that when Ash was on the 00.18mg dex per day given in the am dose, that he was over suppressed even after a few weeks. I could not figure out why, because he was receiving that amount which is the equivalent to 15mg hct. The way I am dosing him for the last four days is as close to the dex way of dosing as I can get with the last dose given at 3.15pm and then not until 3.15am. The good news (if you could call it that) is that even the 15mg in hct is rendering him with cushingoid features now just after dosing of four days as such. I perceive that it is because now he is getting the stuff at the times that he should as opposed to the other prescribed dose times. He looks to me as if he needs to be cut back some in his meds---I have not seen his face look so swollen since he was on the dex. If I ask the doctor to urine tests for Ash will this show up any signs of under suppression that would occur with that regime? I'd just thought I would let you knw, as I know we wondered why Ash was so over suppressed on 00.18mg of dex and that I think is why. Given correctly the HCT is just the same at 15mg Regards Val
