Re: Is it Possible?

I have four boys and a girl. One boy is SWCAH. He hates gilrs and girl stuff. Though ALL the boys at one time have shown an interest in "Dress Ups" and they showed a particular fascination for clompy shoes on the wood floors around our home and anything else. The make-up thing has not happened here, but they have had the face paint stuff. My make-up is expensive and I keep it out of reach! They all show interest in playing with cars and dolls, but lean more to the cars box. I have had friends visit with daughters who made a bee line for the boys "cars box" because no doubt it was something different and a novelty as opposed to my porcelain doll and teddy bear collection! Kids learn through play basically, and allowing them to explore all range of toys and dress ups and everything else is all part of allowing them to learn. I think ANY kid would enjoy getting old of Moms make-up and let loose with such! Shoes are a fascination because of the noise that they make and the way they look. We have five men in the house here. My daughter and I don't particularly want to pick up after them the next several years, so I encourage the boys to do ALL chores around the home. Even the ones associated with "Girls" stuff as my SWCAH whines when I ask him to clean the shower base for me! They even do the cooking too now! My husband makes biscuits and cakes better than I do! LOL (But he wears the MACHO "barbeque" apron of course!) Regards Val
