Is this controversial?? I don't think so (not yet, anyway!! ;) In any case, from my understanding, I would say - No - this is not because of CAH. The very nature of this condition results in extra testosterone (which can possibly make girls who are not medicated properly more masculine -yes! I know, and I WON'T go there!), but extra testosterone in a boy should only make him more "male": things like larger genitals, aggressive behaviour, etc.... all those things associated with too much testosterone. I tend to agree with Val, and wouldn't worry too much about it at such a young age. Kids try out all sorts of roles - it's part of how they learn who they are (AND who they aren't!). I gave my son a doll as a 1 yr old - and why not?? Boys need to learn nurturing to be good Dads too, right?!Wendy-Lee
