One  thought I had reading this was maybe the child is really a girl without the corrective surgery and the parents are trying to raise the child as a boy.  Stranger things do happen.  STRANGE!!!!

Is that child abuse? Can the courts do anythign about it? There is the big discussion topic for the new "controversies board".  As a concern neighbor or whatever... are you concerned about the child's welefare.

Yes - the medications and the condition does need to be taken very seriously. And yes  - you can die from an adrenal crisis - with the physcial stress of a fever, illness, injury, or recurrenting vomiting.  He does not produce the stress chemical called cortisol and can die if ill or injuried (seriously). Not just a bump or scatch or running nose but a bad flu can kill. DO NOT EVER DOUBT how serious this can be.  They should have solu-cortef injection kit and just in case situations.  Even for a trip to the movie . You don't know if there could be a car accident. This is not an over reaction. Child abuse to think otherwise for sure!!
