SIDS was just "Unexplained Death" and sometimes when they do an autopsy, they are just not sure of the cause. A healthy baby would not stop breathing or die surely. There are so many rare genetic disorders it would be hard to say it was not one of them as some their is little to know anything about. in fact there may be still genetic disorders undiscovered. My friends baby died two months ago. She had congenital hip and had plaster cast on her hips. She was six months old and turned over in her sleep, face down and must have got into a panic. Her parents are deaf and did not hear her, and they found her in her crib the next morning. She had died. I believe that they called that a cot death.
