Hi Val,

I just wanted to let you know that doing the heel prick test too early can result in a false negative.  I know here in Wisconsin they wait at least 24 hours after the baby is born but my daughter's test came back "normal" and then she was re-tested (it is a long story) at about 1 week old and that one came back slightly elevated.  The doctor explained if it done too early the baby still has the mother's horomones/blood whatever and it could cause a false positive.  Just thought I would let you know.
