Thanks! I will keep you all up to date where the results are concerned. His dosing regime is 3.75mg ---3am 6.25mg ---7am 5mg ---3.15pm I give him his florinef at the 3.15---100mcg---as that is the last dose before bedtime. I may consider moving that to evening before bed time though depending on the next lot of blood tests. I presume that that is enough in his system from 3.15pm to carry him through the night. I just wanted to simplify things as if we leave it until bedtime as there is no hct to dose, I felt we may forget and I wondered if it may have effects on the GH also anyhow. I'll see how it goes anyway. Reflecting the day after, I am happy about the way things went. But I am disappointed that they will not do blood tests to erase my worries about puberty. It's just that I read on one site with regards to CPP that the physical signs are the last to show and that the mechanisms where hormones are concerned are the first things to happen. So once the "physical" symptoms show, it may be too late to stop the escape into pubertal stage. That was why I wanted the bloods done for LS and FSH and the stim test or whatever other means that they could have used. I thought that the whole idea was to try to avoid the physical symptoms arising. I have this e mail from my pharmacists: Can you tell me what HYSONE tablets are and whether they are available in NZ or will be at any point. I f so are they subsidized? Hysone (Alphapharm, Austral.) is Hydrocortisone and is not available here. Also is SYNAREL available here in NZ and whether that is subsidized also. It has been used for kids with Precocious Puberty to halt or slow down the process so I am just enquiring. Synarel is Nafarelin acetate, an analogue of gonadorelin, and is used as a nasal spray. Initial dosing increases circulating sex hormones but continued administration results in reduction in sex hormone secretion via feedback to the pituitary gland. Synarel is available here and is subsidised if the patient has a Special Authority. A specialist must apply for the number (paediatrician or endocrinologist only). Approvals are valid for 12 months, after which reapplication must be made. Thanks A Jefferies So it looks like that is available. Sorry if I already posted that here. I forwarded it to a few people the last day or so and wanted that looked into as we do not have Lupron. Though I note that if it is not dosed enough it could probably make a childs situation worse and I am not sure if we ever had to use such if Ash would ever be able to or want to sniff stuff up his nostrils!
